Children participating in Little Tots need an adult to accompany them on the gym floor at all times.

Pre-Schoolers
|
Pre-Schoolers for 4 - 5 years is a stepping stone from Little Tots to our recreational program. Children may also join this program who are new to the sport. Parents take a step back and watch as their children develop balance, coordination and spatial awareness, as well as learning gymnastics skills appropriate to their age and physical development. The emphasis is very much on all children having fun and building confidence while being active. In Pre-Schoolers we introduce the concept of lining up and waiting for a turn and use circuits for developing skills and for structured play. Children in this program will progress to recreational classes when they go to school.

Competitive Programs
Competitive National Levels
|
Participants are selected for this program as a result of their gymnastic ability, and often quick progression through the recreational programs. Undertaking competitive programs involves an increase in training hours to focus on correct technique, body shapes and specialization on specific pieces of apparatus.
Children selected for the competitive stream demonstrate natural talent and are therefore offered a range of opportunities to develop their skills and abilities. We have programs for children 4 years upwards with the training hours ranging from 10 hours per week through to 20 hours per week. Competitive training is all year around however these participants have the opportunity to represent Flyaway Gymnastics by competing across the state and at a national level. |
